Frequently asked questions

Here are some of the questions we have been asked and the

answers to those questions.

How long will the tires last on my tiny house?

The life of tires is about 4 years. Some think tires wear out only through usage, but tires degrade over time even when not used. To get the longest life from your times, you can jack the tiny house up, level it and secure it, remove the tires, and store them somewhere cool, dark and dry. You can also cover your tires.

Do the homes need any special procedure to move/tow?

As long as you meet road requirements you can move your house without any permits or special requirements.

Can a Tiny House be financed?
If you get an RV certification for your tiny home it’s easier to get financing as long as your credit is good. Other options include saving up for it cash, using your credit cards, selling some of your unwanted stuff, or working extra hard to raise the money.
* We offer financing through People's Community Bank. Our main point of contact at the bank is Jenny Books, She can be reached at (540)371-6889

How is sewage handled?

You can have composting toilets or a dry flush toilet. Another way to do it is to build the home just like an RV with holding tanks.

Please comment below with questions you want answers to and we will answer those questions in another blog post. For more information on our tiny houses please visit our website at http://tinyhousebuildingcompany.com/ or give our office a call at (540)322-0355
